Market Review
Mortgage bond prices remained
unchanged last week tied to
strong producer price index data
offset by retail sales data. For the
week, interest rates on both gov-
ernment and conventional loans
were nearly unchanged.
The most important economic
release this week will be the con-
sumer price index Wednesday. In
addition industrial production,
capacity utilization and goods
and services trade data will also
be important. The Federal Open
Market Committee will meet in
closed session Tuesday with
results at 2:15 p.m., ET.
