Hill Country Memorial Hospital in Fredericksburg has begun a major construction and
renovation project. As a result, effective May 8, the hospital will establish a temporary
emergency room entrance for walk-in patients at the left front of the building (see ★).
Ambulances will continue to use the rear emergency entrance.
“This change is designed to avoid traffic congestion at the rear entrance where con-
struction will begin,” Jeff A. Bourgeois, CEO, said. “We thank everyone for their patience
and cooperation as necessary changes are implemented.”
The 20-month project will include a new surgery suite, 10 additional patient rooms,
expanded ER, lobby, kitchen and dining areas, as well as a new Auxiliary Gift Shop.
