Ninety-two attend Minor family reunion
2940 S. E. Loop 410
San Antonio, TX 78222
This year our family reunion was
held April 28 at Raymond Russell
Park with 92 members attending.
The weather was beautiful and
everyone really enjoyed themselves.
The food tasted better than ever
with Barbecue the main menu, but
the covered dishes were the best.
After judging of the desserts
entered in the contest, Dottie Glaser
from Houston won with her cracker
cake.
Games of horseshoes, volleyball,
egg toss and a game called howdy
mixers was enjoyed by the adults,
while the children had their own egg
toss, water balloon toss and the
clown bean bag throw as well as ily in their younger days were
face painting. Winners were award- enlarged and framed to be auctioned
ed with blue ribbons.
Family members all purchased a
chance to win the 19 inch color
combo Zenith television, and
Roberta Minor Page from Houston
had the winning ticket number.
Needless to say she was excited.
Our auction was a huge success.
Raymond Minor, Sr. donated a
signed baseball from his profession-
al days playing with the Missions.
Also this year, enlarged photos of
the family gatherings as far back as
1945 were donated by Marilyn
Minor Stickland and photos of fam-
in the silent auction by Nell Minor.
Our senior member attending this
year was Annie Minor, of Boerne.
Traveling the farthest to be at the
reunion was a nephew, David
Bethge from Buffalo, NY.
We know that this year several
family members were ill and not
able to attend. We want you to know
that we missed you and those of you
that couldn’t make it for other rea-
sons. We hope you will be able to be
with us next year, same time and
same place. See you then, Nell
