Note

  • Display Note: Typed on reverse: Sr. Aquinas Nimitz, From: Anthony [triffsoffice@cox.net], Sent: Wednesday, May 05, 2004 10:20 AM, To: Sister Aquinas Nimitz, subject: Re Ray Adams, Hi Sister~ Thanks for your email and your comments re John. Ray Adams was personal Yeoman to Fleet Admiral Chester W. Nimitz. of course, Lamar used him a lot for letters he would dictate, and I was told Ray Adams was busy at the typewriter many hours per day. I have another photo of your father beautifully framed. It is with the original signature of your dad and the inscription is, "To Ray and Ona Adams with warm and affectionate regards, C.W. Nimitz Fleet Admiral. this one was sent to me after Ray had passed away and just before Ona passed on. Be Well, Triif".
