To Be Re-Interred
In Fayetteville
The remains of 1st Lt. Henry
L. Chovanec, who was a member
of the Air Force, will arrive in
Fayetteville, his native town, at
5:00 p.m. Friday. Funeral servic-
es will be held in Saint John’s
Catholic Church in Fayetteville
at 9:30 a.m. Sunday.

public this week. Mr. Gindorf has
on display a set with a nice size
screen in his Gindof’s Confect-
ionery and Electrical Appliance
Store, where people gather of
evenings to see entertaining pro-
grams. With him is A. W. Louis,
who will do TV servicing and re-
pairing. He has just completed a
Philco television course in Hous-
ton, and offers reliable service as
a skilled technician.
Mr. Tolbirt has not get received

County Officials and
Lawyers To Close
At Noon Saturdays
The county officers are this
week anonuncing the closing of
their offices in the courthouse in
Bellville on Saturday afternoons,
beginning March 5th. All offices
will close, except that of Sheriff
Marcus Steck, who is subject to
duty 24 hours a day. His office
will close at 6 o’clock on Satur-
day afternoons. The lavatories
will likewise close at six o’clock.
This new closing hour was
made in compliance with the
Austin County Bar Association
and with neighboring county of-
fices, and upon the urge of depu-
ties, clerks and other employees
of the county, who need some
time to attend to personal duties.
All officials will be available in
case of an emergency.
Officials to close shop are W.
D. Bryan, county judge, Marcus
Steck, county sheriff, Lawrence
Dittert, county clerk, C. Strauss,
county tax assessor - collector,
George Hill, county school super-
intendent, J. L. Stierling, district
clerk, and Weldon Davis, county
attorney.
The Austin County Bar Assoc-
iation announces that its mem-
bers have agreed to close their
offices at noon on Saturdays,
beginning March 5, according to
Dan Hruska, the organization’s
president. Other members of the
group are W. D. Bryan, Weldon
B. Davis, J. Lee Dittert, C. D.
Duncan, and W. I. Hill.
