Undulent Fever New
Health Problem
Osteopaths Told
DALLAS," July 1.——Increased
use of unpasteurized dairy dairy
products and raw meats, has caused
undulant fever to become a public
health problem in the middle west.
Dr. J. L. Hirst of St. Louis told the
final session of the American Os-
teopathic association convention.
"Successful prevention of undul-
ant fever depends upon the control
of bang's disease in cattle and the
education of the public to the dan-
gers in the consumption of unpas-
teurized dairy products and raw.
meats,” Dr. Hirst said.
“Today we realize that this in-
fection may be either a causative or I
complicating factor in a great many
of the conditions which we are
called upon to- diagnose and treat
in our every day practice.”
