Miaa Norma Mickan returned
Friday from an enjoyable two
weeks visit with friends in St.
Louis. ,
Mrs. Minnie Carlisle visited with
her daughter Mrs. Hattie Goeking
and family at Waco all last week,
Jeanette Urban, daughter of Mr
and Mrs. Oscar Urban was taken
to the La Grange hospital for
treatment.
Mrs. H. A. Martin attended a
CWA meeting at Bryan Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Lunsford
and children were Caldwell visi-
tors Monday.
Miss Mildred Goerner is spend-
ing the week with visiting friends |

Mr. and Mrs. George Lee Preuss
spent the weekend in San Antonio
visiting Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Do-
mann and also attended the Han-

weekend in Giddings.
Mr. Monroe Steglich of Houston

Mrs. Odais Lawrence suffered a
painful burn Monday when a pan
of hot grease fell on her foot. She
Was taken to a hospital for treat-
ment but was able to return home.
Tier friends wish for her a speedy
recovery.
Mrs. W. H. Joiner and daughters
Becky and Nancy accompanied by
Mrs. J. S. Hilllsman were Taylor
visitors Wednesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Milton Namken
and son of Odessa are visiting re-
latives and friends here this week
after attending the Hansen— Ki-
lian wedding in San Antonio Sun-
day. They also visited his parents

non before coming to Giddings.
They will return home Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. D. M. Hill of La
Grange visited parents and rela-
tives here Sunday.

Bellville where he has accepted a
position as director of pubic school
music and band director.
Mr. Bobbie Fariss left Tuesday
for Austin where he has a position
with the S. P. railroad.
Little Janice Marie Partain who
has been the guest of her grand-
mother Mrs. C. M. Bishop is vis-
iting her paternal grandparents Mr.
and Mrs. Partain in Taylor.
Mr, and Mrs. George Brocke of
Houston were weekend guests in
the W. H. Joiner home.
John S. Hillsman of San Anto-
nio was a Giddings visitor Monday
Dr. and Mrs. H. R. Willard and
children spent the weekend in
Fort Worth.
