Frances Sears-Honoree for
Pre-Wedding Gift Parties
Starring in mid-week social news is Frances Sears,
whose marriage to Fred B. Shelton Jr. of New Orleans is to
take place in the St. Paul Methodist church on October 25.
Co-hostesses for a gift party this afternoon in their
South Seventh street home to honor Miss Sears, Mrs. S. L.
Stanley and her daughter, Mrs. Bill Bettis are featuring a
flower basket theme in all appointments. Chrysanthemums,
tuberoses and dahlias are arranged in flower baskets through-
out entertaining rooms; gifts of linen will be presented in
an immense flower basket.

church Tuesday night. Golda Bar-

District 15 of the Texas Graduate
Nurses association met in Stam-
ford Wednesday, holding an after-
noon session at the Texas Cowboy
reunion bunkhouse, followed by a
chuck wagon supper.
Program was given by Stamford-
ites, with Dr Fred Hudson, of the
Stamford sanitarium staff, the prin-
cipal speaker. Mrs. Frank Moore was
program chairman and the Rev.
Dick O’Brien gave the welcome ad-
dress. Musical selections were given
by Mrs George Zachary and Mrs.
