REIGH COUNT gets
WELL-EARNED REST
By United Press. -
CHICAGO, July 17.—Thru the
door of a box stall, Reigh Count
looked across the rolling fields nt
Leona Farms today.
The king of the American turf
is back home to stay. His racing
days are over.
A little more than a year ago
he was taken out of the stall and
started for Louisville, Ky. — to
make turf history. He made it.
Reigh Count’s work well done,
from now on he will “have a good
time.”

Special to The Press.
HOUSTON, July 17,—Are our
Crips down? They are noL They
wasn't so blythe yesterday when
they came in from the ball orch-
ard, but this morning they are
rarin’ to get back at the Buffs,
who hopped on their sore backs
yesterday and rode ’em plenty.
Nobody knows how the game to-
day is coinin’ out, but the Crips
say Jim Lindsey won’t be chunk-
in' the agate, which might make
a diff.
Jimmy is O. K.
Also our boys are bankin’ on
James Walkup qirtte a bit.—Jim-
iny didn’t look so pert for a
co pie of starts, but he’s all rest-
ed up now after working- but
twice in 10 days and the athletes'
are of the opinion he'IJ be hard
to get along with.
No change in the sick call list
this morning. All of ’em boarded
a hack, at 9 bells and made the
daily trip to the clinic — all but
Bakar, who still contends he's
afraT to go out there because if
he does the doctor might find
something the matter with him.
“I'm the ketchin’ staff,” he
says, “and can't afford to take no
chances with none of them derned
doctors just now.”
in the meantime, we hear that
Pancho is getfin’ better and prob-
, -ibly will join the club when we
‘lift Waco. Crimes is coming
along fine and may get back by
the time we get to Beaumont,
which probably will shove Freitag
to second, as Andy is in pretty
punk shape.
Myers Goes Back.
Steve Myers, the boy front Cole-
man, was sent back there last
night. He looked great —in his
relief stunt at Shreveport Sunday,
and it is understood he’ll be back
here with our Cats the day the
player limit goes off about the
middle of August. He has a rare
side-arm spitter, showed good
control, and looked as if he knows
pretty well what it’s all about.
We look for Mr.. Reinhart to-
day—one of them smart old-
timers that keeps the ball about
where he wants it, and a hurling
duel as we usta call 'em wouldn’t
be any surprise.
