The Tridettes, composed of Jeannette Halstead, Nell
Dodgin and Judy Granger, pose during busy schedule.
Busy Blondes Brand
Themselves Tridettes
by Jane Patrick
The three blondes with blue ey-
es who have sung before varied
audiences during the present term
have recently titled themselves
the Tridettes.
Jeannette Halstead, Barton ju-
nior; Nell Dodgin, Barton soph-
omore; and Judy Granger, Will-
ard senior, initiated their role in
early fall when they performed
for the Cumtux Club. The girls
sang “No Man Is an. Island,”
“Black Is the Color of My True
Love’s Hair” and “Come to the
Fair."
Try-out for Trio
Jeannette’s and Judy’s desires
to sing in a trio brought the
group together. They sang with

Wilson Replaces
President’s Bust
The bust of President Woodrow
Wilson, which was taken down in
a remodeling job several years
ago, has been replaced at the rear
of Wilson House.
The complete history of it is
lost in time, but it was purchased
by the boys of Wilson in the early
’20’s, according to Mr. John
Weeks, former teacher.
From that time until the re-
modeling, the bust was mounted
above the doors of the namesake
house. Between its removal and.
Feb. 26, the bust has been in one
of the storerooms.
At the suggestion of Mr. Ernest
Guinn, Housemaster Alfred Mor-
ris had it cleaned and placed-on

heard that Nell was singing with
a trio at Field Street Baptist
Church. As Jeannette put it, “So,
we tried her cut!”
Current repertoire of the group
includes “Moon River” from
“Breakfast at Tiffany’s,” “Over
the Rainbow” from “The Wizard
of Oz,” “Tonight” from “West
Side Story,’ “Tammy” and “Side
by Side."
Only One Problem
“Our only problem,” admits
Jeannette, “is finding something
alike to wear. I guess the salary
is just too low!”
“I love singing with the trio,
and I hope we can continue after
graduation,” says Judy, who
plans to attend a near-by college
so the girls can sing on weekends.
Record Investment
Judy’s- father is providing ano-
• ther investment in the trio’s fut-
ure by sending a recording to Mr.
Bob Banner, director of “The
Gary Moore Show." Mr. Banner
was in Mr. Granger’s band at one
time.
Stage fright, though unnotice-
able, does affect the girls. “Jean-
