scene of his labors in Washington.
We sincerely regret to learn that
Mr. E. R. Cully one of Miller county’s
best knowm farmers is fast losing his
sight as the result of an injury to his
eyes received long since. While dress-
ing a mill stone the unfortunate man
had a chip of steel fly off and strike
him in the eye causing subsequent in-
flammation to the ball of the injured
member and finally affecting sympa-
thetically the uninjured eye thus
threatening him with total blindness.
Wrinkles and hollow cheeks and
dull sunken eyes don’t always mean
that a woman’s old. Half the time
they only show that she’s overworked
or suffering. To such women to every
woman who is tired or afflicted Dr.
Pierce’s Favorite Prescription safely
and certainly brings back health and
strength. It’s a legitimate medicine
that corrects and cures; a tonic that
invigorates and builds up; a nervine
that soothes and strenthens. For all
the derangements irregularities and
weaknesses peculiar to women it is
the only guaranteed remedy. It it
doesn’t benefit or cure you have your
money back.
It won’t do to experiment with
Catarrh. There’s the constant dan-
ger of driving it to the lungs. You
can have a perfect aud permanent
cure with Dr. Sage’s Catarrh Remedy.

The attachment suits of certain for-
eign creditors against Robt. Ellie of
this city were tried In the Miller Cir- j
cuit court on Friday and Saturday oft
last week to test the validity of the i
said attachments. The case on Satur-
day evening was taken under advise-
ment by the court before whom it was
tried and on yesterday decided in fa-
vor of the creditors sustaining the at-
tachments. Another case that of N.
L. Davis as interpleader involving the
subject mattet of the first suits was
then called for trial aud both parties
announcing ready a jury was empan-
neled and the trial proceeded with.
The case consumed all of yesterday’s
session and was still on trial at the
opening of the court this morning.
A Chance for Health
Is afforded those fast sinking into a
condition of hopeless debility. The
means are at hand. In the form of a
genial medicinal cordial Hostetter’s
Stomach Bitters embodies the com-
bined qualities of a blood fertilizer
aud depurent a tonic and an alterna-
tive. While it promotes digestion and
assimilation "stimulates appetite has
the further effect of purifying the life
current and strengthening the
nervous system. As the blood grows
richer and purer by its use they who
resort to this sterling medicinal agent
acquire not only vigorbutbodily sub-
i stance. A healthful change in the se-
cretions is effected by it and that sure
and rapid physical decay which a
chronic obstruction of the functions
of the system produce is arrested.

Dear Sirs—l wish to give my tes-
timonial in regard to your valuable
medicine P. P. P. for the cure of
rheumatism neuralgia dyspepsia bil-
liousness etc. In 1861 1 was attacked
billions muscular rheumatism and
have been a martyr to it ever since. I
tried all medicines I ever heard of
and all the doctors in reach but I
found only temporary relief; the pains
were so bad at times that I did not
care whether 1 lived or died: My di-
gestion became so impaired that ev-
erything I ate disagreed with me. My
wife also suffered so intensely with
dyspepsia that her life was a burden
to her; she would be confined to her
bed for weeks at a time; she also suf-
fered greatly from dizziness and loss
of sleep. Some time in March I was
advised to take P P P and before we
(my wife and I) had finished the sec-
ond bottle of P P P our digestion be-
gan to improve. My pains subsided
so much that I have been able to
work and am feeling like doing what
I haven’t done before in a number of
years. We will continue takingP PP
until we are entirely cured and will
cheerfully recommend it to all suffer-
ing humanity.
Yours very respectfully
