for its collapse.

Thousands of persons with bared
heads lined the streets yesterday as
the body of John Cardinal Glen-
non-83-year-old leader of the St.
Louis Catholic archdiocese, was
brought home to his final resting
place, the St. Louis Cathedral.
The body will lie in state until
a final requiem mass is celebrated
at 10 a.m. (CST) Saturday. Inter-
ment will be in a crypt in the ca-
thedral’s All Souls’ chapel.
