morning by Mrs. C. B. Hicks, chair-

tion as a Park and Public Recrea-
tion Board in 1941/ we decided, by
resolution duly passed at a regular
meeting, that no park property or
equipment would be loaned or re-
moved from park property, except
to another city department, upon

City Commission also has that rule
for city property and equipment
under their control.
Early in November of 1946, the
Y M C A made a request of the
City Commission for the loan of
the Concert Grand Piano in the
City Auditorium in Fair Park. The

City to a private club or agency,
in violation of the law.
In the whole history of Abilene a
city government, we have never
