Resurrection Day
The Christian anticipates the resurrection day. "For the
Lord himself shall descend from heaven with o shout, with
voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God and the
dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we which are olive and re-
main sall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to
meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the
Lord." 1. Thes. 4 16 17.
We are told in 2 Peter 3:11-13 that the earth will be dis-
solved and “according to hit promise we look for a new
heaven and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.”
But this promise it given only to the children of God. So
it is extremely important to become a child of God. Nowhere
in the Bible are we taught that partial obedience to God's
word will make ut a child of God, and partakers of His prom-
ise. let ut give diligence to His teaching to that we may In-
herit the kingdom of God, and be with Him in the resurrec-
tion.
To become a child of God, believe that Jesus it the Christ, t
repent of your sins, confess Hit name before men, be buried
in baptism for the remittion of sins, and live a faithful Chris-
tian life as a member of His church. This is made plain in Mk.
