WASHINGTON — The Senate
appears headed toward passage
of a bill to authorize 415 million
dollars in additional foreign aid
for Viet Nam and other world
trouble spots. It beat 75 to seven
a move by Senator Wayne Morse
to trim from the bill about 12
million in funds for the Domini-
can Republic.
By far the largest slice of the
money would go to Viet Nam: A
total of 275 million dollars.
Morse had sought to cut in
half the 25 million President
Johnson asked for the Domini-
can Republic.

Johnson’s Southeast Asian poli-
cy.
