Since the city began making a
charge for garbage collection last
summer, 628 water customers have
declined in writing such municipal
service.
Thia waa reported Wednesday by
C. B. Hicks, credit manager of the
City Water Department, which
adda the monthly garbage fees to
the water bills.
However, Hicka added, hardly a
week goea by without some of the
“decliners” calling In and taking
for resumption of the service.
Many have found it inconvenient
and unsatisfactory to supply their
own garbage disposal, he ex-
plained.
He estimated that about 13,000
of the 13,547 water customers con-
tinue to take the city's garbage
service.
DO YOU HATE
(of
Do you suffer from hot flushes, nerv-
ous tension, upset emotions-due to
functional ‘change of life’ (38 to 83
years)—that period when fertility
ebbs away, when symptoms of this
nature may often betray your age?
Start taking Lydia E. Pinkham’s
Vegetable Compound to relieve such
symptoms. No other medicine of this
type for women has such a long rec-
ord of success. Taken regularly,
Pinkham’s Compound helps build up
resistance against such middle-age
distress. A great medicine made espe-
ctally for women. The woman’s friend.
