The Mills County Com-
munity Center is progress-
ing nicely, and county
citizens are invited by the
Mills County Chamber of
Commerce to drop by the
building and see the
progress. The complex is
located adjacent to the T. A.
Head Rodeo Arena in
Goldthwaite.
Layton Black, finance
chairman for the building
. campaign, reminds folks to
respond to the plea for
donations to the building.
The amount quoted in last
week’s Eagle was incorrect
for the total outlay needed
for the completion of the
center. The total amount
still needed is in the
neighborhood of $50,000.
This includes all the
livestock pavilion. The fig-
ure used last week of
$20,000 was for the comple-
tion of the main building
only.
Memorials may be made
to honor loved ones by
contacting the Mills County
Chamber of Commerce in
Goldthwaite.
Truett Auldridge is the
general foreman for the
construction effort, which
has been handled largely
through volunteer efforts.
Anyone who wishes any
information on the project,,
or who would want to con-
tribute some time to the
community center in the
form of work, is urged to
contact Truett. Workers are
needed at any time, during
the week or on Saturdays.
The potential of the
building seems to be
growing weekly, as the
construction completion date
nears.

SBA FARM DISASTER
LOANS STILL AVAILABLE
The filing deadline for ob-
taining disaster loan assist-
ance from the U.S. Small
Business Administration has
been extended for sixty (60)
days. The filing deadline
affects those who experi-
enced drought damages to
farms, ranches, and related
enterprises in Texas.
The new filing deadline is
April 13, 1981, for physical
drought losses - crop losses,
pasture damages, loss of
livestock, etc. For economic
injury losses, the deadline
will be July 13, 1981. This
extension will allow farmers
more time to calculate
