Field Events, but managed
to pull ahead after the Mile
& Mile Relay. The Eaglettes
scored 133 points to win the

Santa Anna, who is in our

ton W. Matthews, of Star
Route, Evant, were held
Monday, March 30, at
2:00 p.m. in Wilkins
Chapel, with Rev. Jeff Culp, -
Waco, officiating.
Mr. Matthews died Satur-
day, March 28, 1981, at
9:20 a.m., in Childress
General Hospital, in Goldth-
waite. Burial was in the
Hurst Ranch Cemetery.
He was born February 2,
1905 in. China Springs,
Texas (McLennan County). '
He moved near Star from
Waco in 1965. He was
married to Clemie Geeslin
in 1951, at Goldthwaite. He
was a Methodist.
Survivors include his
wife, Clemie, of Star; two
sisters, Mrs. Iris Klein and
Mrs. Erna Soules, both, of
Houston; and , a niece, Kay
Lynn Soules, also of -
Houston.
