confined to her bed for 6 or more
months and was very patient she
suffered a great deal. She knew
that she would be forever at rest.
We were great friends such
good times I have had with her
I would visit her quite often and
she would visit me. She had a
welcome for one and all and
treated everyone one a like. I
feel like I have lost a dear good
friend but God knows best. She
is missed by her children and her
neighbors and friends for Mrs.
McAdoo was a friend to one and
all and I don’t guess she had
an enemy.
Last Sunday afternoon I visited
her but she never knewlwas there,
she was unconscious. I sat by
her bed side, made me feel bad to
see her suffer but now she is at
rest and with her loved ones. If
she could speak from her heaven-
ly home she would say this is a
beautiful place no more suffering,
for I will be watching and wait-
ing for all of my loved ones and
friends.
Mrs. Marie Hanshew took care
of her and she certainly did a
good part by her she will miss her
also.
She is gone but sheis not for-
gotten, her sweet influence she
shed from her Godly life will live
on down to the ages. Good many
years of her life was spent in
Iredell.
The funeral of this good wo-
man was held Monday afternoon,
May 30 at 3 p.m. in the Baptist
church where she had worshipped
so long, her membership was there.
The Barrow-Rutledge undertak-
ers of Hico had charge of the
funeral. Rev. Tennyson brought
a beautiful message. Mrs. Ten-
nyson and Mrs. Neatherlin sang a
beautiful song “Precious Memor-
ies.” The floral offerings were
daughters and Patsey Jean Lott
were flower girls. The following
were pallbearers. Messers. Parks,
Main, W. J. Cunningham, Jap
Fallis and Sadler, and Mr. Daw-
son.
She was a beautiful corpse.
She suffered so much that she
didn’t look like her self so very
many times but when her friends
and loved ones took the last look
she looked very natural. I feel
lonely with out her I would visit
