Clubs Have Yearly Christmas Party
TUSCOLA, Dec 19 (RNS) — The
Tuscola community center was the
scene for the county-wide Home
Demonstration Club party Thurs-
day afternoon Each club in the
county assisted with host duties,
sixty-one women attended.
Mrs R. F. Morgan of Wylie reg-
istered guests Mrs Edgar Holly of
Potosi, who was program chair
man, accompanied at the piano for
group singing of Christmas carols.
Mrs Joe Swinney of the Blue Bon-
net Club, south of Merkel, dressed
as Santa Claus, distributed gifts
from a lighted Christmas tree Mrs
Dewell McLean and Mrs Tom Rus-
some of Blue Bonnet assisted Mrs.

candlelighted ceremony in the
First Baptist Church Dec 15 unit-
ed in marriage Delores Stewart,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles
L. Stewart, and Lester Eckert.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr
and Mrs. Miles Eckert of Fluvanna
The Rev G. M Cole, pastor, of-
ficiated at the double ring cere-
mony
Billy and Jackie Stewart, twin
brothers of the bride, lighted the
candles. Ushers were Willard Ains-
worth and Henry Gafford Jr.
Best man was Harvey Clements.
Organist, Mrs M M. O’Rear, ac-
companied Jenny Cargile as she

in farming. She is a graduate of
Snyder High School and Western
Union School in Oklahoma City.

Western Union in Lubbock and
points in New Mexico. The bride-
groom is a graduate of Fluvanna
High School
maid of honor and Myrle Wayne
Neal was bridesmaid.
The bride, given in marriage by
her father, wore a teal blue suit
with white accessories and carried

bers of the Junior Study Club had
a Christmas party in the home of

ed their 25th wedding anniversary
at open house Saturday in their

ried on Dec. 21, 1930, in the home
of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. E.

and the Rev Melvin Prather of

College where she is a member of Delta Beta Epsilon
and Wah Wahtaysee and he is a member of IHR social

and Harold G Blakely of Sweetwa-
ter were married Dec 10 in the
Sweetwater Church of Christ Guy
