A night or so ago a fakir gouged
suckers on West Broad street by
selling jewelry etc. first sold
money for hp.lt or two thirds its
face value then sold several articles
and bought them back at an en-

or S2O dollars worth kept the cash
and left the crowd in the lurch. We
noticed some sort of game of chance

stopped.
Undertakers are sometimes called
upon to mourn their loss as other
people and Mr. Ed Shutt of the
Texas Livery Undertaking company

was a favorite with the Shutt fam-
ily and Ed can spin and weave
many yarns of cute tricks little
“Moukeydoodle” could do while en-
joying the privelege of trotting
around on four legs. The pup was
laid to rest under one of the finest
yard trees in a deep grave and the
place will be marked with a slab
with little Monkeydoodle’s name
thereon.
