BABY'S
AWFUL
HUMOR
My baby sister had a rash causing her in.
tense suffering. We had doctors and tried
every tiling without a cure. It would scab
over crack open a watery matter would ooze
out and the scab fall off. Wo procured a box
of Cuticura (ointment) a cake of Cuticura
Soap and Cuticura Resolvent and she was
entirely cured without a scar being left.

TEXARKANA ARKANSAS SUNDAY DECEMBER 4 1«9«
BUILDING COLLAPSED.
Yesterday the old pottery build-
ing situated between Broad street
and the water works near the
Biedler Park was blown down at
least the north half of it was and
when it tumbled down it tumbled
with a thundering crash.
The property belonged to Louis
Heilbron and was unoccupied with
the exception of a shed room on
the south end which was occupied
by a negro woman. A telephone
message from the water works says
that no one was hurt still there is
a rumor going around on the street
that a woman was c ught under
the walls and badly hurt.
Rumor as to a white lady being
hurt proved true. We could not
learn her name —wife of a machinist
and they were camped there. Lady
was seriously injured we learn.
The loss on the building will not
amount to much as the building
was old and could not have been
occupied in the shape it was.
ATTEMPTED assassination.
We learn that a dastardly at-
tempt was made late Wednesday
afternoon (about dusk) to assassi-
nate Mr. S. T. Adcock a prominent
citizen of Sulphur township who
lives near Bright Star this county.
As we get the information Mr. A.
was sitting in his house about 6
o’clock when somebody who wa-
passing by on horseback shot at
him through the window but miss-
ed him. At once Mr. Adcock grab-
bed his gnn and running out upon
the front porch shot at his assail- j
ant twice who also returned the
fire and rode swiftly away. He has
no idea who the would-be assassin
is. Much excitement was caused
in the neighborhood by the occur-
rence. There is no clue we learn.
Arkansas & Choctaw Extension.
Special to the Daily Texarkanian.
Ashdown Arkansas December 3.
—The Arkansas & Choctaw rail-

Choctaw City yesterday into the
Indian Territory. Extension will
be pushed until a junction is made
with the M. K. &T. Ry. This rail-
road is building solidly and well
and is destined some day to become
a paying one as it will pierce a fine
agricultural as well as heavily tim-
bered region.
