I'EXAHKANA TEXAS
The city editor was the guest of
Mr. Jodie Kirby at the Beach on
Friday evening aud had a delight-
ful swim in the water of the pool.
Mr. Kirby reported his business as
good and improving. He said he
found that the people could not get
conveyance to his place as a draw
back and cut him out of many a
dollar he would get otherwise. We
noticed that a refreshment stand
had been opened since our last visit
presided over by a gentleman who
has had expeience in this line. The
Beach is alright and would do a pay-
ing business if street cars run to
the same.

and fever. Price 50 cents.
Mr. Frank Whitley returned Fri-
day night from the East. He. did
not bring back with him a rain
though the lightning flashed when
he got off the car at his door. We
have not heard whether he bought
an electric street car plant while
he was gone but hope he arranged
to have one here before another
two years roll around.
Imperfect digestion and assimila-
tion produce disordered conditions
of the system which grow and are
confirmed by neglect. Herbine giyes
tone to the stomach and causes
good digestion. Price 50c.

It is a mistake to take any and every kind of medicine when you are
Kw sick. There is danger in it. Most of the so-called cures for “ female |j||
CM weakness” do nothing more than deaden the pain temporarily and when
Kw the effect wears away the patient is weaker and sicker than before. It is
IASI never wise to take chances. You have only one life and that is dear and njl

FRIENDS AT COURT.
Texas Officials act in Texarkana's Be-
half in the Removal of the Gen-
eral Offices of the Pee Gee.
Austin July 21. —The state offi-
cials are taking steps looking to a
clash with the federal court. They
today received information that the
herdquarters of the Texarkana and
Fort Smith railway which is a part
of the Kansas City Pittsburu and
Gulf now in the hands of a receiver
had been ordered moved from Tex-
arkana to Kansas City. The Texas
law requires that general offices of
all Texas lines shall be maintained
in this state. This action of the
federal receiver gives rise to a ques-
tion as to whether or not the feder-
al court has a right to set aside the
state law iu such a manner. The
case will be tested in court if a l
the offices have really been remov-
ed.
