An old fashioned gold hunter
with several pieces of new fangled
electrical apparatus was here last
week prospecting for gold or bur-

uncovered after a hole four feet
deep had been dug.
Seven fine horses were selected
here by the U.S. Army horse buy-

Mills County's elegant new
courthouse has been completed
and accepted by the Commission-
ers Court and the officers are now
comfortably located in the build-
ing. This is one of the finest court-
houses in the state and is a credit
to this, the finest county in the
state. The building cost exactly
$67,776.68. Mills County’s first
courthouse was erected in 1889 at
a cost of $27,500 and it burned on
the night of May 5,1912.
