the State Land Commissioner on
Feb. 1, is not yet ready to say if
he will run for election to the po-
sition next summer.

HASKELL, Dec 28 (RNS) -
The Commissioners Court has an-
nounced plans for purchasing two
new automobiles for use of the
Sheriff's Department, at the
regular meeting of the Court Mon-
day Jan 13.
The new cars will replace two
1956 model automobiles now be-
ing used by the sheriff's force,
and which have been in use for
almost two years
Purchase of the cars will be
on the basis of bids submitted
by local dealers. County Judge
Alfred Turnbow stated. Bids will
be accepted until 10 a.m Jan. 13
Also at the Jan. 13 meeting, the
Court will open bids for the pur-
chase of a diesel-powered crawler
type loader to be bought by Com-
missioner Louie Kuenstler of Prec.

have sufficient personnel to help
taxpayers do their accounting, but
simply answers questions and
shows taxpayers where to put the
figures on the return, said Fogle.

sle. who has resigned, failed to
come up Monday at the County
Commissioners Court meeting.
A reporter, after the meeting
ended, was told that no "official
resignation" had been received
from Nuessle. County Judge
