USS England. Standley is cur-
rently enrolled in the Navy
ROTC program at Texas A&M
University, College Station,
Texas. He is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Ray Standley of Goldth-
waite.
Seven active and spirited
young ladies have been leading
the cheers for the Goldthwaite
Junior High football teams in
1985. They are Jenny Long,
Donna Roberts, Kim Jernigan
and Kara Champion. Also, Julia
Blackwell, Holli Barnett and
Rosa Vaquero.
The Goldthwaite Lions Club
has two important events on tap
for the next few days. The first
is the annual Club auction, with
a fantastic array of goods and
