Donald Greer III said it is great to be back from
his second trip to Iraq. He first arrived at the
beginning of the war, and then returned on Feb.
that experience that has made him a creative prob-
lem solver.
“He can figure out things with a sophistication
that is not common,” he said. “He is willing to do
whatever it takes to get the job done.”
22, 2004. After returning this time, he said, things
in Iraq seem to be improving as the citizens show
interest in governing themselves.
“Seventy-five percent of Iraqis turned up to vote,
and I think that’s key,” he said. “The people want
to take control of their government and their
lives.”

the tax cap would benefit home-
owners, providing some much
needed tax relief from the recent
2004 county appraisal hike.
“I don’t see [a tax cap] as a bad
thing for us,” Busby said adding
that a recession in these parts are

Country in droves.”
Local resident Andy Burgess
also spoke against the resolu-
tion. “Bottom line, the

years down the line not only
having the original tax back
where it was but adding addi-
