Notes

Text: “Dearest Sweetheart: This is the first minute I’ve had off since I got here; I have thought of you a thousand times, and especially last night out on the bay when the moon was so pretty and the water so smooth — and just a big bunch of stags and old doctors along! - I surely did have a full program for this week-end until this morning I pledged AKK - which I believe to be the best national and local medical fraternity in this county. Charlie Williams also pledged, and he and I are going to room together, in the house here, a big, cool, screened, east room and I believe we are going to be very comfortable. I looked over all the fraternities, had dates with about six yesterday, and this morning again, and would have gone at the same rate all the rest of the week if I hadn’t pledge and […] all further dates. I knew about six men here, and they sweat me about an hour and a half this morning before I […]cuted to […] these other dates - but it seems that’s the e[…]tional thing to be. I got your letter this morning at the πΑΣ House, and surely did enjoy it - your note, [...]. So Dick was nice! I’m really and truly glad. From what the boys tell me, we “freshmen” - my it seems funny to be freshmen again - will have to be buried to the world in about a week. I’ll be buried to the rest of the world - but never to you - for I want to write to, and hear from you just as often as possible. Well, the boys are calling for me to go swimming in the gulf. Going for another ride with “our” bunch tonight. Kiss lee real big — I’ll say you got the best me! Yours always, Felix.”
