Notes

Text: “Friday night. Sweetheart — One week gone - except for a few hours in the morning! And really to look back on it, it has gone very quickly. And if they are going to continue working you as hard as they seem to be now, it might to pass fairly quickly for you. I believe that little Xmas tree you are planning for your class is going to be more work for you than anyone else — but that’s the way those things usually are. But I know they will enjoy it very much, and you should be that much more endeared to them. Charlie says how would you like to be where you were last Friday night — talking to me. My, what wouldn’t I give to be right there, or where we were Saturday night! Let me pass it on to you — how would you like it? You would? … Take time out for a while. All that bunch got g[…]ed here right after supper while I was trying to write you so I could get if off on that 7:14 train and got to raising as much cain and wanting me to go to a show with them, that I just had to quit. I’m sorry, but maybe you’ll get it tomorrow anyway, I’ll go mail it after while. We saw a real good show, Milton Sills in “the Marriage Chance,” and a real good comedy, too, in which a rooster and a couple of geese got drunk on some […] — and they surely did cut some funny capers. The house is surely quiet here now, I think nearly everybody must have gone to the Friday night dance at the g[…]y, they normally don’t go out there so much as they do to the hard weeks. I take my Masonic exam on the 20th, and we have three quizzes the next two days — one Tuesday (21st) and two Friday. But then — what about Saturday night, where will I be, where will we be! Dear it’s really getting late — 9:15 — to just be starting in to study, and I could go it all night and not be entirely caught up. However, I don’t think I’ll do that. Let me hold you just one minute more — house sweet kisses, million sweet kisses? — well — that’s be a starter. All yours, Felix.”
