Notes

Text: “Monday evening. Sweetheart — You can’t guess where I am. In histology lab! I'm all caught up on my drawings, and don’t feel a bit like studying, so I guess you’ll have to put up with me for a little while — do you mind very much? Yesterday the thermometer dropped about 40{} and it got cold as hector, so cold we couldn’t stay at home, but had to go to another. There was only one fire in the house, and the whole game was in there studying, so that I didn’t get to write to you last night — I hope you won’t miss it too much — I thought of you and dreamed of you all night long. It’s still cold as can be, and this histology lab is the only warm room in the building — we’re in here from 11 - 1 o’clock. I took dinner at the Phi Chi house yesterday and we had another musicale afterwards. Several girls were there, among them Elsie Urbaude and Evelyn Kems — both our instructors in Bacteriology — you know them both, don’t you; Evelyn is a good musician and seemed to enjoy the music very much — she stayed until way after 4 o’clock. I enjoyed your note very much yesterday, and was so glad to find it when I came home from church — yes, I went to church — but, there was a reason. I had to see Mrs. Scrinigler to ask for the use of the coupe for the dance Friday night! No, that wasn’t the only reason I went — but I believe it was one of the […] ones! The band is to be here tomorrow night, and the concert is to be followed by a dance — guess I'll have to go; they’re also having an afternoon dance for them at the garden, to which I have an invitation, but don’t know whether I’ll go or not. Saw Gloria Swanson in “My American Wife” yesterday; it was a brilliant show as usual, but her acting was nothing extraordinary. Aren’t we getting to be the regular picture show […]? But that’s got to be cut out — with all these quizzes due soon, bacteriology for this Thurs. is the only one […], but the others are due to fall about the end of this or the first of next week. Sweetheart, it’s nearly time for the bell, kiss me in here? No? Out in the hall? I love you millions. All yours Felix.”
