Printed on the reverse is: "THE PRICE OF PEACE---Old Glory flies at half mast against a lowering sky, while Marines of the Fourth Division stand at parade rest as the chaplain reads the funeral service for a Leatherneck who died in Pacific Action. Buddies of the dead Marine acted as pall bearers for those who died at this South Pacific Base of wounds received in the invasion of the Marshall Islands. Hdqrts. No: 78,530 DIST.
