NEET CALLED
DOORS AND WINDOWS
ASKED AT KENNEDALE
will Be Used To Build Home For
Couple.
An appeal for old doors and
window frames was made today
by a group of Kennedale women
who are building a home for a
60-year-old man and his wife. The
couple was forced to give up a
home thru a foreclosure and they
have no place to etay.
Neighbore of the couple, upon
learning of their .plight, collect-
ed enough material to construct
a small house upon a plot of land
donated by another Kennedale res-
ident.
The house is complete, save for
seven window frames, and sever-
al doors. Mrs. O. E. Lambert,
one of the group of women, said
that a man would call to pick up
furniture or building materials
any one cared to donate. \ Her
number Is Rural B4F22.

Two Rodeo Performers Are
Sent to Hospital, One
Under Guard
Two rodeo performers were in
hospitals today after one "chief"
too many joined a cowboy party
at the Palestine Hotel, 2407%
North Main Street, late yesterday.
Chief Corrells, 28, Choctaw In-
dian of Tishomingo, Okla., was at
All Saints Hospital with a stab
wound in the chest.
V. C. (Chief) Coleman, 28, was
in St. Joseph’s Hospital with his
face badly battered. He lives at
the hotel.
Coleman today said he was at-
tacked by the Indian, who object-
ed to the use of the nickname
“Chief” by Coleman.
‘I left the party and when I
came back, Chief Corrells met me
at the top of the stairs,” Coleman
said. "You change your name.
You can’t be chief,” he said.
‘I told him I couldn't do that.
The first thing I knew, he waa
stomping me in the eye.”
Coleman said he pulled out hie
knife.
Corrells waa under guard at the
hospital today.
Five other men arrested at the
hotel were questioned and re-
leased.

Breaks Up Show
Boy Tosses Iron at
Chorus Girls on
Stage
Bad boy, mustn't throw iron at
the chorus girls.
- Police today were holding a 16-
year-old boy who did just that
and broke up the show at the
State Theater, 1106 Main Street,
late yesterday.
The audience, thinking the piece
of iron was a bomb, stampeded. A
policeman nabbed the boy. No
one was struck by the missile.
