The Giddings varsity baseball
team hosted Rockdale and
Cameron on Saturday after
being rained out on Tuesday
against Brentwood Christian,
and the La Grange tournament
was called due to rain.

win of the year after pitching
the first game against Rock-
dale. pitching all 7 innings, al-
lowing 5 runs on 14 hits with 5
strikeouts, getting the 8-5 win.

The Anthony Graves capital
murder retrial will be moved
to Giddings with jury selection
set for Monday, July 7.
Graves is getting a new trial
after his 1994 capital murder
conviction in the deaths of
six Somerville residents was
overturned.
