Intramural action is coming
to a conclusion. Champion-
ship games for intramural
basketball take place May 1, at
6 and 6:45 p.m.
In Division I the Silver
Bullets will play the A-Team in
final action. The 'bullets' shot
the outlaws out of the saddle
in a 67-51 victory to advance
to the finals. The A-Team
defeated the Junkyard Jam-
mers 58-53.
In Division II the Rowdy
Bunch will challenge Blonde
Ambition in championship
play. The Rowdy Bunch claw-
ed its way past the Alley Cats
in a thrilling game which end-
ed in a 26-25 victory. Blonde
Ambition bounced past the
Little Dribblers, 34-26.
In the freethrow competi-
tion Cliff Payne took top
honors. Mike Boles captured
second and Paul Morales,
third.
Tim Bryant claimed first in
the hot shot contest. Rick
Housden shot second and
Todd Bryant came in third.
Participants will be given
trophies in both categories.
An intramural tennis tour-
nament is scheduled for Mon-
day, April 30. This consists of
two divisions, singles and
doubles. Trophies will be
awarded to first, second and
third place winners. To sign-
up for play see Phil Spradling,
intramural director, in the
gym, room 110.
The Second Annual Student
Racquetball Tournament May
4-5 concludes intramural ac-
tion. Entry forms can be ob-
tained in this issue, in the pro
shop, gym or Dr. Duane
Hood's office in the ad-
ministration building.
"It's really been an en-
joyable year," Spradling said.
"I have enjoyed the participa-
tion and enthusiasm."
Spradling went on to say
that he is looking forward to
next year and making the in-
tramural organization bigger
and better.
