What is your philosophy on
budgets and priorities?
Just as an individual should learn
to live within her/his means so must
our government. In order to set
priorities in spending all issues must
be evaluated, then action is taken on
that issue which will be most benefi-
cial to the most people, assuming
that it stays within budget guide-
lines.
Streets and traffic flow are an
ongoing problem in any city.
Many of the city streets are so
narrow that there is only room
for traffic to flow in one direc-
tion at a time when cars are
parked on either side. What
would you do to prevent this in

city? If a fellow council member
proposed a limit on the number
of cars a resident can park on
the streets, how would you
vote?
The logical answer to future de-
velopments is to work with develop-
ers in attaining wider streets. The
Colony is a “bedroom community.”
It’s residents drive into many direc-
tions. The multi-car family is here to
stay. No form of government can say
how many vehicles we own. They
have to be parked somewhere. Vote
— no.
To see that the promises are kept
and that they get the same rights and
services as citizens of The Colony.
The city is old enough now that
certain areas are deteriorating

streets and alleys failing. There
are also major streets that must
be closed to traffic?
As we are becoming an older city
we need to start budgeting money
for streets as one of the basic ser-
vices.

The Colony has fulfilled the agree-
ment made with Eastvale, that being
to put back into the Eastvale area
those monies collected from it’s
citizens. In fact, more funds have
been spent in Eastvale than has been
collected. City services will be ex-
panded as funds become available.

Need to work with developers to
try and widen. It’s not only bad for
local traffic but is difficult for
emergency vehicles. If a limit was
proposed I would have to poll the

Miracle of
the Forest
When you walk into a National
Forest, you really believe
you're the first person who's
ever been here. Funny thing
is, you're not.
These forests have been used
for over one hundred years.
With careful management, they
have renewed themselves, year
after year providing us with all
kinds of benefits. And that's
why we call them, "Forever
Forests'.' Come see for yourself!
And get involved with the new
"Forests For Us" program and
tell people all about the Miracle
of the Forest.
