p.m., at the Utility Department, One Harris Plaza.
■The Colony Train Club meets at 7:30 p.m. in the
home of a member of the club to build HO scale
layouts and exchange information. For information,

■Alcoholics Anonymous meets at 7447 Main twice
daily, each day of the week. For information, call

Thursday, Sept. 21
■The Colony Lions Club meets, 8 p.m., at Pizza
Inn, South Colony and Paige. Guests are welcome.

■Sail Fair, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Stewart’s Creek
Park on Lewisville Lake. Activities for the entire
family. Fees waived to park. Entertainment, games
and music. Melodrama, “Hiss the Villan," requires
ticket. Admission is $2 for adults, $1 for children.
•The Colonaders, a square dance club, dances 8
p.m., at B.B. Owen Elementary School. Caller is

■Pen Pushers meets, 12 p.m., in The Colony Public
Library meeting room. A group of local writers
meeting to discuss their craft. For information call

Monday, Sept. 25

Obituary
Dean S. Powell
Dean S. Powell, a resident of The Colony, died
Sept. 12 at Methodist Hospital in Dallas. He was 66.
Mr. Powell was born March 19,1923 in Marquez.
He married Adel Rypel on June 25,1946 in Temple.
He is survived by his mother, Estelle McNulty of
Mesquite; two sons, Wayne P. Powell of Carrollton
and Michael D. Powell of Dallas and five grandchil-
