SAN ANTONIO SUNDAY LIGHT SAN ANTONIO TEX. MARCH 10 1901
THE ‘BIG STORE’ is EN FETE
The almighty argument of price doesn’t amount to shucks unless backed up by quality. When we advertise
reduced prices we mean reduced prices on the goods in the store—the high grade merchandise for which
this store is famous. We back up our statements with performances not promises. The “Big Store’’ is full
of money saving opportunities on Spring Merchandise gathered from the four corners of the earth. We
have made record breaking prices for a record breaking crowd tomorrow and the entire week.
THE OPENING CONTINUED FOR STOCKMEN’S CONVENTION.
The opening decorations will not be disturlied. wc want the thousands of visitors who will lie here this week to see the lieauty
of it to go home with the same impression that it left on the minds of San Antonians Friday and Saturday . The main floor is deco-
rated with palms and blooming plants with sweet voiced canary birds singing hidden beneath the foliage. There is the oriental
waiting room a refuge for those weary from sight seeing. But the most attractive things in the store are its goods. We have made
an anusual effort and there are unusual things to buy as well as to see.

F. F. F. ANNIVERSARY BALL.
Will be Given at Mission Garden Next
Saturday March 16.
The fourth anniversary of the F. F.
F. Social club will be celebrated at
Mission Garden Saturday March 16
St. Patrick's eve with a grand ball
which promises to eclipse all affairs of
its kind heretofore given by this asso-
ciation. A long list of dances con-
sisting of the ever pleasing waltz the
two step the schotttsche. and the most
popular square dances of the day have
been selected by the arrangement com-
mute who for years have served qn
ball committees and are acquainted
with the*wants of our dancing patrons.
The continual progress that this as-
sociation has met with in the past
few mouths have placed it first in rank
and their largely attended and very
enjoyable balls have won such wide-
spread fame in social circles that our
amusement lovers rejoicingly receive
fihe announcement of an approaching
date and they turn out en masse. New
faces nightly greet the regular attend-
ants that have for years filled the "old
homestead” and they carry happy re-
membrances with them when the lasf
echo of the orchestra is heard in
f'Home Sweet Home.”
Th<» F. F. F. win again prove with
this ball that they are justly entitled
to the honors that they claim and
even the most selfish concede that they
are today the leading social club of the
city.
The orchestra for this coming event
will be again under the leadership of
Mr. Theo. Artz which will be ideasing
news to all lovers of the waltz and
Itwo-step.
Remember St. Patrick’s eve. Satur-
day March 16 at Mission Garden.
