Impressive School End Assembly
PRINCIPAL B. C. FO WLER presents the Spelling Bee win-
ner’s certificate to PEGGY ANN MARTINEK.
William B. Travis Elementary
School held an impressive end-
of-year assembly, in which the
awards phase was featured, with
Principal B. C. Fowler in charge
of the occasion.
Before awards were present-
ed, Mr. Fowler introduced Supt.
of Schools Forrest Watson who
spoke to the students and facul-
ty, commending them for their
many successes. He encouraged
the fifth graders to read a
bulletin given to them, "Making
the Big Jump," and to make
the most of their years in school
which follow. He also recogniz-
ed Mrs. Garth who is ! retiring
this year. Mr. Fowler presented
the awards and expressed his
appreciation to the following:
