SAN ANTONIO THE
MOST BEAUTIFUL CITY
’ CO SAYS W. W GENTRY THE
SHOWMAN. AND HE HAS
SEEN MANY.
•‘I am glad to again be in San
Antonio the most beautiful city in
the state of Texas if not in the United
States.”
So said W W. Gentry of the Gentry
Bros.’ Famous Shows to a Light re-
porter this morning. With all the
other attractions in honor of this
festival occasion Mr. Gentry ha»
brought his united shows and will give
four performances and two street pa-
rades in this city.
Mr. Gentry said that he. in the na-
ture of his business has done con-
sidqxable traveling throughout the en-
States and has seen cities
and villages of every kind and descrip-
tion from the smallest to the largest
but for a city the size of San An-
tonio he never had seen one to equal
. it in beauty of architecture its mag-
nificent and numerous parks where
every one is made welcome and every
facility for enjoyment is prepared for
the visitor in the wav of the best mu-
sic. delightful cool and shady nooks
and good street car service throughout
the entire city.
Mr. Gentry said that he had win-
* tered his shows for several years in
the south but for the past two or
[ three years had wintered at Bloom-
ington. Indiana but he had almut
Come to the conclusion that the win-
ters in Indiana were too severe for
his large colletcion of animal actors
especially those coming from tropical
countries and that he was about con-
sidering the subject of moving his
winter quarters further south. He
seemed to think San Antonio would
be an ideal place in which to estab-
lish winter quarters.
' The Gentry Bros have spent a for-
tune alone upon their street parade
which moved through the principal
streets of San Antonio this morning
at 11 o’clock. The parade has re-

VON BUELOW ONLY
NEEDS A LONG REST
PHYSICIAN ASSURES GERMAN
CHANCELLOR S WIFE OF HUS-
BANDS ENTIRE RECOVERY.
Associated Press.
Berlin. April 19. —Chancellor von
Buelow is still kept in strict privacy
at his residence.
Professors Renvers his physician
has asssured Princess von Buelow of
her husband's entire recovery and
has told her that it is simply a ques-
tion of letting business alone and
of a thorough rest.
According to the physician the con-
sideration of any public question will
delay the restoration to health of the
chancellor and therefore no one of
tne foreign office or any otuer gov-
ernment departments will be allowed
to see him so as to avoid even a
suggestion of state affairs.
■ Naturally there are many rumors
aliout the chancellor's disability but
tr.os* who are nearest to him accept
Professor Renver's assurance of an
ultimate complete recovery and that
Lothing except a long rest is needed.
The plan to have Herr von Rado-
witz the senior chief ambassador act
as representative of the chancellor
has been dropped. It is understood
that this was done because Caunt
ven Posadowskl the vice chancellor
intimated that he a senior secretary
ot state would regard such an ap-
pointment inconsiderate to him.
