Mr. Royce Brown, Scotty,
Paula, Cleo Musser and
Bertha Knight were among
those who attended a stork
shower Sunday afternoon for
Mrs. Danny (Neva Sue)
Shields, in the parlor of the
Church of Christ in Claude.
After the shower, Danny,
Neva Sue’s husband, was
honored with a going away
party. He left for basic
training with the Army and
will be stationed in Georgia
for 14 weeks.
Paula Brown was a patient
last week at the Pampa
hospital.
Helen Witt attended a
meeting of the Hi-Plains
Chapter of the Poetry
Society of Texas Saturday at
the Central Library in Ama-
rillo.
She also had lunch with
Annie B. Kirk who was
recently discharged from the
hospital after an extended
stay.

afternoon.

weekend visiting her
mother, Burniece Johnson.
Rita Homer and brother
Jerry Homer left Houston
Friday for a ten day vacation
and tour of London, Eng-
land.
Mr. and Mrs. James
Anglin and Wade of Child-
ress were Sunday visitors
in the Max Wade home.
Edgar Raymond Musser
of Houston visited his
mother Cleo Musser and
other relatives and- friends
here last week.
Bob England is back in
Groom after spending the
winter in Arizona and Cali-
fornia.
Darron Eschle, son of Mr.
and Mrs. John Eschle, and a
student at Southwest Texas
State University at San Mar-
cos, visited home folks this
past weekend.
Mr. and Mrs. Mike Gar-
mon of Chicago, Ill. were in
Groom last week visiting
their parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Walter Garmon and Pauline
Looten.
Mrs. Edna Terbush,
Barbara and Rose Leven
visited Sid Mansel in the
hospital in Pampa Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. Bob Wade
of Houston visited over the
weekend with Mr. and Mrs.
Gene Wade.
Mr. and Mrs. Jay Kirk of
Amarillo visited last week
with Mr. and Mrs. Crim
Goodlett.
