Tigers Show Much Improvement In Friday Game Against Bible Heritage

Coach Toby Tucker.
"We were just inches
away from making big
plays and that will come
as we continue to gain
experience."
Groom had 313 yards
of total offense compared
to 286 for Bible
Heritage. Doug Fields lad
all rushers with 159
yards on 23 carries and
1 touchdown. Calvin
Schaffer added 96 yards
on 13 carries and a
touchdown.
Having two backs put
up that type of numbers
was great. It was a
tribute to the offensive
line and is. something
that we have been
lacking," stated Tucker.
"By Calvin stepping up it
should help us not have
teams just key in on
Doug."
Tucker also had high
praise for 9th grade
quarterback Kelby Noack.
He is going to be just
fine."
Turnovers continued to
plague the Tigers. Three
fumbles and two
interception lead to all of
Bible Heritage’s score.
"We have got to get
better at taking care of
the football," said Tucker.
"We just can’t expect to
win games with that
many turnovers. It is
something that we have
to fix."
Owen Weinheimer lead.
Groom receivers with 4
catches for 44 yards.
Lance Ollinger also had
one reception for 14
yards.
"Our passing game is
still lacking," commented
Tucker, " but it is
something that we are
improving on. We had a
couple of passes for big
plays slip right through
our hands, but if we
continue to have the type
of ground game like we
did this week our passing
game should open up.
