in Houston Monday and Monday
night. Mr. Hurvey und Mrs. Addi
son attended a banquet for Chev-
rolet uccountants, given in the
evening at the Rice Hotel.
Mrs. Faye Slaughter of Sher-
man made a pre-Christmus visit
here with her father, Col. B. F.
Delamater. Sr., and Mrs. Dela-
mater. She returned to her home
Friday.

Christmas Party

Class of the First Baptist Church
had their annual Christmas party
December 3. It was held in the
home of Mrs. Robert Nix with Mr*.
Edward Smith. Mrs. Faye Smith
and Miss Eleanor Furmer as co-

came in laat Friday and spent sev-

Mrs. Ruby Conway of Houston,
David Cunningham of Columbus,
Ohio, Mra. Lucy CahUl and Mias
Annie Cunningham of Bryan were
visitor in the home of Mrs. W. C.
Smith Monday of last week.
Rev. and Mrs. EIm Love and
children will leave Sunday after
noon for Alto where they will visit
with Mra. Love's parents, Mr. *aud
Mra. Byron Blanton, during the
holiduys. They also expect to spend
a few days with relatives in Port
Arthur.
Rev. and Mra. Elxa L. Love and
children, Charlie and Jo Lynn,
were in Walters, Oklahoma, last
week, where they made a pre-
Christmas visit with Rev. Love's
parents, Mr. and Mra. E. E. Love.
Mr. and Mra. J. Louis Giddings
left Wednesday for Houston to
spend a few days with their son,
Wallace, and his family, prior to
going to Philadelphia for the
Christmas holidays. In that city
the Giddings' will viait with an-
other son, Louis, and his family,
who have been in Alaska for the
past several years. They now re
side in Philadelphia where Louis
is doing research work for the
University of Pennsylvania.
B. O. McLean 111 of New York
City arrived in Caldwell Monday
to spend the holidays with his par-
ents, Mr. and Mrs. B. 0. McLean
Jr.
Mr. and Mra. E. O. Raer of
Houston spent the past week-end
here with relatives.
Bernard Shaw of Pasadena spent
the week-end here with his parents,
Mr. and Mrs. George Shaw.
