Friday, January 15, 1993, 10 a.m. The
Finance Committee of the Texas Board of
Licensure for Nursing Home Administrators
met at 4800 North Lamar Boulevard, Suite
310, Austin. According to the emergency
revised compete agenda, the committee pos-
sibly reviewed Fiscal Year 1992 annual fi-
nancial report and prepared to report to the
board; possibly discussed the feasibility of
holding board meetings outside of Austin;
presented figures on implementing the $10
fee; reviewed financial statements for
agency sponsored seminars; reviewed ex-
penditures vs. budget for fiscal year 1993;
reviewed cash flow statement; reviewed the
LBB's budget recommendations to Senate
finance committee; and adjourned. The
emergency status was necessary due to
LBB's Budget recommendations received
January 12, 1993, board needs to discuss
before April meeting to plan strategy.

Rule 249.5, and final vote on proposed Rule
247.1(a); discussed final vote to repeal cur-
rent 243 and possibly adopted new 243;
met in executive session to receive informa-
tion from staff regarding an overview of the
disciplinary process; discussed disciplinary
process and looked at revising disciplinary
rules; upcoming meetings; elected officers;
announced next meeting date, place, and
time; and adjourned. The emergency status
was necessary due to the board receiving a
proposal for decision on Kenneth Jewel on
January 12, 1993, and feels that action
should be taken immediately to eliminate
the health and safety threat to the citizens of
Texas he now poses.
