CYCLONE DAVIS' GREAT BOOK.
The Advance is receiving so many
letters asking for a description of Cy-
clone Davis' Great Book, entitled, 4'A
Political Revelation," that we find it
impossible to answer them by mail, we,
therefore adopt this method.
This book will be about 5ix8 inches
in size, printed in large, clear type on
heavy standard book paper, and hand-
somely bound in cloth. It is just such
a book as every close student must
have to thoroughly understand our
government and the principles upon
which it was founded.
The book is indeed "A Political Rev-
elation." Mr. Davis has been engaged
nearly one year in preparing the man-
uscript for this book. With the com-
plete writings of George Washington,
Thomas Jefferson, James Madison,
Benjamin Franklin, James Monroe,
John C. Calhoun, Alexander Hamilton
Andrew Jackson, Randolph, Patrick
Henry, Daniel Webster, Henry Clay,
Abraham Lincoln, and other renowned
writers, statesmen, and patriots, as
his constant companions, Mr. Davis
treats of the rise and progress of our
republic, and the principles upon
which it was founded, with a convinc-
ing clearness.
There are over one hundred pages of
quotations from the fathers of the re-
public, proving that they advocated
every principle enunciated in the Oma-
ha platform, and that the constitution
of the United States was substituted
for the old article of confederation, to
carry into effect the very principles
outlined in the Omaha platform. Af-
ter reading this book no man can truth-
fully say, "I am a Jeffersonian demo-
crat," and antagonize the Omaha plat-
form.
This book is destined to be widely
circulated and to lead the way in restor-
ing the Jeffersonian theory of govern-
ment, for no one can truthfully say, af-
ter reading this book, "I do not fully
understand Thomas Jefferson's theory
of government, the blessings it will
secure to the people, how and when we
departed from the true principles of
of democratic government, or how to
restore them again," for Mr. Davis
makes it so plain a child can under-
stand the whole matter.
Mr. Davis' diagnosis of the constitu-
tion is the most thorough and convine
ing yet published. Besides being a
splendid lawyer himself, he has had ac-
cess to some of the best libraries in the
state. The book is replete with quota-
tions from the greatest law givers the
world has produced, proving that his
conclusions are exactly in line with
their teachings.
No person, of any trade or profes-
sion, can afford to be without this book.
No other work can be substituted for
it. The subjects are handled in that
forcible, legal, logical, and convincing
style peculiar to Mr. Davis alone. It
will be a text book and a standard
work as long as the love for freedom
exists in the human heart.
