further difficulties, Lieut. Dargue, in aeroplane #43, got away in the
midst of a shower of stonos, thrown at him by the moo. He had only
flown a short distance when the top section of the fuselage flow off
and damaged the stabiliser, causing him to raal® an immodiato 'landing,
•which he accomplished safely. He then stood the crowd off without
further damage to the aeroplane or to himself until the arrival of tho
guard. Captains Foulois &nd Dodd spent tho remainder of tho day with
the .American Consul in arranging for supplies to be sent to advance
troops by railroad, Lioutenants Dargue and Carborry spent tho remaind-
er of tho day repairing tho damage done by tho mob on the two aoroplanos.
