Bias Chapa is qualified by experience, education and
temperament to serve you as County Judge.
Born in Rio Grande City, Texas and attended public
schools in Starr County, Graduate of Rio Grande City High
School.
Worked in the fields with hiS family as a migrant
worker.
Graduate from Pan American University and received a
B.A. in Business Administration with a Minor in
Economic in 1962.
Taught school at La Union and Grulla for nine years.
Serves as District Clerk for the 229th District of Texas
for the past nine years.
MY PLATFORM
I will serve full time, as County Judge
I will serve all of the people
I will continue low county taxes
I will support the new County Hospital
I will work 23 hours a day to bring industry anu
jobs to Starr County.
I will assist all of the youth in securing their
formal or technical education so that they may
make a better Starr County for all of us and for our
children.
1 will consult with the commissioners in any
matter pertaining to the County.
I have no ambition as County Judge other than to
serve my community I seek no personal gain or
advantage from this office whatsoever.
