Student Council Spring
Convention Nears
B\ MONICA MINOZ
The new spring of 1984 is here, and the
Rio Grande City High School Student
Council is working hard to get the
necessities ready for the Spring Conven-
tion.
Our High School Student Council was
chosen at the Fall Convention held in
Brownsville to be the host of the 1984
District XVI Spring Convention. The date
set for this meeting will be on March 17,
and the convention will last from 8 a.m. to
4 p.m. All of the sessions will be held,
throughout the high school building and
campus.
Our guest speaker is Tony Mason, a
motivational speaker who has given
inspiration to the many audiences he has
visited. The Student Council is very proud
and honored to announce that Tony Mason
will be our guest speaker
Reaching one's own goals are what
people dream about quite often, but 1
sometimes we never try hard enough to
reach and follow these goals Our theme
for this year's Spring convention is "Keep
Going...The Sky is the Limit."
The saying itself implies that a person
should never give up Keep striving for
what you want until you have attained
your goal
