holding primary election

The Slarr County Republican
Party announces its candidates for
the 1996 Republican Primary
election.
Early voting by personal
appearance started on Feb. 21. The
election is taking place at the Starr
County Courthouse. Any voter
registered to vote can vote in the
Republican Primary. Just go to the
early voting place and request a
Republican ballot (the Republicans'
ballots are blue this year.
County Chairman Benito
Trevino, Jr., stated, "The Slarr
County Republican Party will give
voters the opportunity to establish
a two-party system here in the
county. Voters will be able to vote
for the candidate of their choice
from presidential candidates to local
candidates."
Local Republican candidates
declaring their candidacy include the
following:
* Benito Trevino, Jr., is running
for Republican County Chairman.
* Mauro E. Villarrcal is running
for Republican Precinct Chairman
for Prccinct 10.
* Dr. Raymond P. Mussett,
M.D., is running for Republican
Prccinct Chairman for Precinct Six.
* Gracicla L. Guerra is running
for Republican Precinct Chairman
for Prccinct Eight.
* Isabel Trevino is running for
Republican Precinct Chairman for
Precinct Two.
The Republican County
Chairman, Benito Trevino, Jr., and
the Republican Executive
Committee encourage all registered
voters to come out and vote.
Trevino said, "Remember, in
Texas, if you are registered to vote
you are qualified and entitled to vote
for the Party of your choice."
