BY JACK BRACE.
Vic Hanson of Salt Lake won from
Jack Herrlck yesterday afternoon
after twoney-flve round of tho most
sensational fighting that haa ever been
witnessed In the Juarei arena.
The fight from the Up of the In-
itial gong waa a terrible struggle. Al-
though beaten In every round Herrlck
fought like a tiger. In the third round
Herrlck scored a knockdown on Han-
son who stayed on the mat for the
count of eight but came up o strong
that Herrlck was unable to put over
the finlaher. That waa the laat time
during the go that Herrlck had Han-
sun worried in the leaat.
Hanson aubstantlatud his claim that
ha la In Una for the top notch in the
near future and will be a dangerous
man for any middle-weight of today.
It seemed Impossible for the once
invincible Tiger to keep Hanson from
landing hard rights to the body. Her.
rick la game and aa tough aa they
make them and with the proper
bundling will make t furm'dable op-
ponent for the beat of hi clasa.
A cool hed clever boxing and a
punch that tells made Hanson the
easy winner. Herrlck took an awful
lacing and at the end was strong and
coming back for more.
Herrlck Is without doubt the most
durable of the two men but la lacking
in ring juugmeni. lie did sornt; very
cUver boxing however throughout
the fight.

Fred Winaor manager of Hanson
laat night Issued a challenge to Jeff
Clark for a bout In the local arena on
any term that will ault. Winaor says
Hanson will win over Clark In their
meeting.
Word received here at a lata hour
last night was to the effect that Clark
would accept the offer.
Promoter Benito could not be
reached laat night but fana aay the
go will be put on.
In the preliminaries yesterday Ben-

New Mexico. The go was a one-sided
affair which showed nothing but the
fact that Dawson took punishment like
a man. The local boy was too much
for him.
Jockey Spinner and Kid Martlnex
of Loe Angeles fought a hard draw in
the opener.
