catch the trolley car for town and the park I always full of young ajirls
and boys mostly soldiers. You see their mothers do ne knaw where

Idee that they are In the park entertaining young men."
At the first thought on probably would censure the Ctrl for deceiv-
ing: their mother and going off to a pretty park to entertain their suitors.
And we all aeree that spooninc la a park Is certainly disregarding all
laws of conventionalities.
But a a matter ot fact one'a second thought In the matter would he

Hardly. Por moat girls ara naturally rood. They do not aeak to he
Indiscreet If they happen to be en. It Is mostly through Ignorance rather
than preference. V
Probably the fault Ilea In tbe mother. Because a woman happen to
ho a mother doea not exonerate her from censure. If all mothers saw
to It that there always would be a sitting room a place where her daugh-
ter might entertain her company it la mora than likely that her girl
would not turn to the park for her parlqr.
Even If the family be in straightened circumstances the mother should
m in it that thr hs nlace in the home for her daughter to entertain

that a girl should seek the company of the opposlts sex.
